Upper East Side Apartment

Open plan family and dining room with big windows

Beyond the remarkable façade of this boutique condominium is a light-filled apartment with floor-to-ceiling windows, Juliet balconies and views of the East River. Our client had found the perfect home for a family, so we tailored the space to reflect their lives there. The sectional sofa in the living room was chosen for comfort, classic lines and cozy movie nights together, while personal moments complete the gallery walls and dot credenzas with themes of travel, family and heritage. The custom-designed wool and silk rug with raised, natural shapes woven into it echoes the organic curves of the coffee table, and the aquamarine hue connects to the vintage chairs in the dining room. Throughout the home, textures and patterns pair with neutral or pastel colors and vibrant artworks to evoke a cool warmth reflective of her aesthetic. Tactile materials such as the paper lantern and wicker accent table sin the study, sheepskin throws and geometric quilts in the bedrooms, or plush bar stools in the kitchen create an effortless blend of modern, eclectic style.
