Our high-end, residential interior design studio is seeking a full-time, movtivated, intermediate designer to assist in all phases of projects. The candidate must be a strategic thinker who pays meticulous attention to detail and is able to prioritize projects. The position is full-time and in-person in our Bryant Park New York City office.
• Reflect company’s design vision throughout all work
• Responsible for project management and client management, overseeing project schedule, deliverables, and planning team work
• Collaborate with project managers, junior designers, and principal on décor projects from
schematic design through installation
• Source and/or delegate sourcing of fabric, furniture, lighting, hardware, rugs, and accessories (custom, in-stock, vintage), and thinking critically about overall design of project
• Develop client presentations utilizing solid, consistent graphic skills to represent the design in an effective and compelling way
• Draft plans and elevations in AutoCAD
• Create proposals in Design Manager
• Purchase for projects and maintain thorough records of funds
• Coordinate with vendors, fabricators, and receiving houses throughout the entire project to ensure timely install
• Forecast and monitor project financials via commission and hours reporting
• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in interior design. Minimum three years full-time experience in a similar role in high-end residential interior design
• Self-starter who can work independently, is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and able to adjust to changing priorities, deadlines, and schedules
• Detail-oriented and extremely organized are both absolutely essential. Ability to prioritize tasks and communicate issues with workload is a must
• Skilled and thorough in requesting quotes, as well as coordinating with vendors and delivery
companies
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Professional conduct and appearance when dealing with clients, vendors and peers
• Experience interfacing with architects and consultants on the implementation of design a plus
• Proficient in CAD, Adobe Creative Suite,
MS Office Suite; Google Workspace, Design Manager a plus
• Punctuality is crucial in this role
• Must be fluent in English
• Authorized to lawfully work in the United States

• Contribute to the development of client presentations
• Draft plans and elevations in AutoCAD as needed
• Coordinate with vendors, fabricators, and receiving houses as needed to ensure timely install
• Organize and return samples
• Update templates and standards documentation in collaboration with Studio Director
• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in interior design.
